How to use it
The calculator is free. It reads a Stripe CSV in your browser and shows the pieces of one payout: gross sales, fees, refunds, disputes, other adjustments, and the net deposit. The file is not sent to PayoutPair, and you do not create an account to try it.
- Download the itemized payout reconciliation CSV from Stripe. The summary file does not list the transactions inside a payout, so the calculator cannot split a deposit from it. The steps are in how to export a Stripe payout reconciliation report.
- Drop that CSV on this page. A balance export that includes a payout id column also works. Rows without a payout id are skipped.
- Read one payout at a time. The net deposit is the number to compare with the amount that arrived in the bank.
- Record that split in QuickBooks Online or Xero. This page does not build the import file. PayoutPair does that after you sign in, or you can follow the QuickBooks and Xero guides and enter the lines yourself.
What each line means
The labels match the way PayoutPair groups an itemized Stripe report. They are totals for one payout, not a single charge.
- Gross sales are the charges included in that payout, before Stripe deducts its fee.
- Stripe fees are the processing fees and other fee amounts Stripe already took out of the payout.
- Refunds are amounts returned to customers. They usually reduce what lands in the bank.
- Disputes are the disputed principal taken out of the balance. A dispute fee, when the file has one, stays with fees.
- Other adjustments are rows that are not sales, fees, refunds, or disputes.
- Net deposit is the signed total of those lines. Compare it with the bank deposit, not with a calendar week of sales.
If a row's gross, fee, and net do not agree, or a payout total does not match its transactions, the difference is shown. The calculator does not invent missing rows. When the bank amount and the sales total disagree, start with why a Stripe deposit does not match sales.
FAQ
Is the calculator free?
Yes. It runs in the browser. There is no account and no charge for this page.
Does the CSV leave this device?
No. The file is read locally. PayoutPair does not store it from this page.
Which Stripe export should I use?
Use the itemized payout reconciliation CSV. A summary, or a payments export with one row per charge and no payout id, will not group activity into the bank deposit. See the export guide.
Will this post to QuickBooks Online or Xero?
No. It only shows the split. You still record the journal, either by hand or from a PayoutPair export. The books need the gross sale, the fee, and the net deposit, or revenue and fees stay hidden inside one bank line.
What if the net deposit is not the bank amount?
The download may be missing rows, or the payout id may be the wrong one. Fees, refunds, disputes, and timing are the usual reasons a deposit is smaller than sales. The deposit guide walks through those cases.
